Swim Lessons
Some of our camps will visit an outdoor pool for a mini swim lesson and open swim! Mini swim lessons are offered once per week and will be 45 minutes lead by swim instructors certified through Starfish Aquatics Institute. Campers will be divided into groups based on their swim skills. Each swimmer ranging from beginners to those on a swim team will work towards progressing and improving their skills while having fun! Camp Counselors and certified swim instructors will lead, supervise and assist campers while they are participating in swim lessons. Following the swim lesson, campers receive open swim time.
Participating camps are: Camp Funview • Camp Wilderness • Fun Quest • Sun Troopers
Daily Lunch Service
The Glenview Park District will provide a nut safe catered lunch provided by Kiddos Catering for a select number of camps each day, however families will have the opportunity to bring their own nut safe lunch if they choose. If a child brings a nut product to camp, or a product made in a facility with nuts, the item will be removed from the room or camp environment and the camper may not eat it. Camp directors will then contact a parent to request an alternative lunch or snack from home.
Participating camps are: Camp Funview • Camp Wilderness • Fun Quest • Sun Troopers • Summer Explorers!
• Skyline Children ' s Theater Camp • Kinderview • Glenview All-Stars Athletic Camp • Encore! August Adventures
Snack
For full-day camps, parents are encouraged to pack a nut-safe snack from home each day. We aim to maintain a nut-free environment to accommodate children with allergies and create an inclusive camp experience.
Parent Information and Online Emergency Forms
Glenview Park District is proud to announce the adoption of ePACT Network, a health and safety software to better support all our members and make it easier to submit critical data securely! ePACT is a secure digital solution that allows you to quickly share the health and emergency information we need, and also provides us with powerful communication tools to ensure we have a way to message you in the event of an illness, injury, or larger scale emergency.
Why are we using ePACT?
• To save you time – With ePACT, you only need to complete your child’ s information once, and then verify that it is still correct for additional programs or subsequent years( which can be done in just two minutes)! And if you need to update something quickly, just log in and update it and we’ ll be notified immediately.
• To eliminate high-touch processes – Collecting data electronically and checking members in / out using contactless methods that ePACT offers means a significant reduction in close human contact and shared items like pens and paper sheets.
• For better security & privacy – ePACT’ s high encryption levels and commitment to security means your data on ePACT is safer than on paper- where it can be misplaced or accessible to people who shouldn’ t have access to it. ePACT allows us to limit and track access.
How it works:
• You’ ll receive an email invite to share information with Glenview Park District from member. support @ epactnetwork. com.
• Click‘ Complete Request’ to create a free account, or log-in if you already have an existing ePACT account.
• Enter the required information, like medical conditions, and share it with Glenview Park District so that program staff have access.
ePACT makes it far easier for you to share emergency information with us, while also ensuring we have access to records anytime, anywhere with the mobile app – even without an internet connection.
Rest assured that you always own your account and the information in it. Have questions or feedback? Please contact us at member. support @ epactnetwork. com or visit www. epactnetwork. com.
