WELCOME TO SUMMER CAMP 2022

What ’ s old is new again !
In 2020 and 2021 , Glenview Park District successfully reinvented summer camps due to COVID-19 . For 2022 , we will build on our success while bringing back “ old ” camp favorites . In addition , we are reinstating regular room capacities , bringing back field trips to locations all around Chicagoland , including swim lessons coupled with open swim time at our outdoor pools and we are bringing back Early Bird Discounts !

Swim Lessons and Open Swim
• Look for the swimming icon to find camps that offer swimming at one of the Glenview Park District outdoor aquatic centers . Campers will either walk as a group to the Glenview Park District pools or transportation will be provided on designated pool days .
• Safe swimming is our first concern
• All campers are swim tested by certified lifeguards to assess their swimming ability
• Campers must swim two lengths in the diving well without goggles
• When testing , campers cannot wear goggles
• Certified lifeguards will determine if campers pass or don ’ t pass the swim test
• Campers who do not pass must wear a Park District provided life vest and may only swim in the zero depth shallow area of the pool
• Campers may be retested once per week
• Coast Guard Approved life jackets provided by the park district are also used when visiting water parks outside of Glenview
• All swimmers are supervised by strategically stationed Glenview Park District trained camp staff in and around the pool
• Glenview Park District camp staff are outfitted in special swim shirts so they are easily recognizable to campers , pool staff and other patrons
