Step 1 :
Using the wrap method , cover a tall cake with white fondant . Mine was a 7 ” round x 10 ” tall .
Cover a 6 ” round x 3 ” tall dummy with white fondant like normal . When it is dry , cover the other side too .
Step 3 :
Mix up 300g of stiff royal icing and put some in 5 separate bowls as shown . Colour with : Americolor Electric Yellow and Lemon Yellow Americlour Electric Blue and Sky Blue Americolour Super Black Wilton Ivory
Step 2 : Step 4 :
Mix in some water to thin down the light blue icing and begin to paint broad areas for the shallow water .
Step 5 : Step 6 : Step 7 : Step 8 :
Start painting areas with the black and yellow . This can be thick to add texture , but add a little water if you need .
Using a finer brush paint the diagonal black stripes to add some fun patterns of the beachfolk .
With a broader brush begin painting the blue of the sea .
Add an area of fleshtone royal icing by mixing a tiny amount of ivory paste to some of your white .
