Selling cupcakes from her suburban
Geelong driveway soon morphed into
daily sold out deliveries and being
stocked in a local café. Soon enough, the
next step became obvious: expand.
With a big leap of faith and a ton of
support from her husband and friends,
Cara achieved her dream and opened
her cupcake café in July 2020. “I really
felt that there was a gap in the market
for freshly baked items in cafes. So many
people don’t realise that when they sit
down for a beautiful coffee somewhere,
that the food has often been frozen for
several months. We don’t even have a
freezer on the premises, so everything is
baked fresh.”
