WINTER 2017 Café Spanglish Chucks Family Pizza Buffet We Are Here for the Families! By Maribell Sarate W ith a very low budget and lots of prayers, Chuck Wilson and his wife Angie decided to open a restaurant in Forest City. Chuck had collected 35 years of experience working as general manager for different chain food restaurants in various cities in North Carolina. He worked with Pizza Hut for 12 years. “Being a general manager was great but I wanted to open my own place,” Chuck says. On January 19, 2016, the Wilsons opened the doors of Chucks Family Pizza Buffet, a large building located across from the Walmart Plaza. The place is impecable and inviting, there is a large game room for kids and teens, staff is very welcoming and the buffet is simply delicious. Aside from a large variety of pizza toppings and wings, Chucks Family Pizza Buffet is the home of the Chocolate Chip Pizza and the Oreo Pizza! The buffet is just $7.99 including the drink! There is also a breakfast buffet from 8:00am-11:00am. In addition to that, they offer a Family Night Special on Thursdays where kids 10 years old and under eat free with a paying adult. “We understand families of Rutherford County, and that is why we have family night on Thursday nights so that it is affordable for most families to have a night out. We also offer a military discount” Angie explains. There are also different incentives through the week. There is live gospel music on Mondays from 5:30-7pm; on Tuesdays, 10% of the sales is donated to a non profit organization; on Wednesdays they offer .50 12 cent chicken wings, an d on Thursdays there is Family Night! When asked why his menu was different from food chain restaurants, Chuck said, “We only use fresh ingredients. We also take requests on the buffet.” The Wilsons are very glad that the community has supported them and are looking forward to a great 2017!
