• GTIN placement on the case is required to be at least ¾” from the edge of the case wall and 1.25” from the bottom of the case.
• GTIN-14 bar codes must be placed on a minimum of two sides of the case with one being on the longest side of the case.
• White Space( also referred to as a Quiet Zone) is required on each end of the printer 14-digit GTIN. A minimum of 0.25” of the white space is required on the left and right side of the printed barcode. Refer to GS1 for additional detail. www. gs1us. org
• Barrier bars are required on all 14-digit GTINs.
Restrictions.
• Multiple flavor descriptions or multiple unique GTIN-14 barcodes are NOT ALLOWED to be printed on the case
• Do not use these colors when creating your barcodes. Scanning devices are blind to red, blue, brown, and shades of purple. Black ink is recommended.
GTIN Label. If you use a removable GTIN or tear off GTIN label it must be applied so it can withstand the conditions of the warehouse receiving, picking, and palletizing systems so it does not come off.
