Supplier Delivered
For Supplier Delivered shipments, Suppliers are responsible for ensuring that any carrier selected to deliver product follows scheduling requirements.
*** NOTE: Please carefully vet carriers prior to shipment to ensure the carrier will deliver to KeHE’ s final destination DC and not merely drop off at a carrier hub. Supplier is still responsible for all fines and fees associated with the shipment in such case.
Small Parcel Shipments
Orders shipping via FedEx or UPS Ground do not need a C3 appointment. These shipments are typically a few cases, less than 150 lbs( please see specific carrier for weight restrictions), and each case must be labled individually for shipment with KeHE’ s PO number. Lumper fees apply.
FedEx / UPS Freight
Orders shipping via freight service on FedEx Freight or UPS Freight must have an appointment in C3. These shipments are typically on pallets and weigh over 150 lbs( please see specific carrier for weight restrictions). Lumper fees apply.
3. SHIPPING DOCUMENTATION
The following shipping documentation is required on all shipments.
The BOL is a contract between the shipper and the transportation provider and contains shipment and pallet level information. KeHE requires two( 2) legible copies with every shipment.
Bill of Lading( BOL)
The BOL must contain all material shipment-level information, including, but not limited to, the following:

The Packing List is a document that details all items on the shipment. The packing list is used by receivers to verify amounts received against amounts shipped and ordered and is required for all shipments, in addition to the 2 copies of the BOL.
Packing List
Packing List must be secured to a pallet and clearly labeled for easy identification. Each Packing List should represent a single Purchase Order.
See Packing List Example on Attachment 3. The Packing List must contain all information specified on Attachment 3.
