A LITTLE ALBINO ARTICLE 35
Albinism affects the production of melanin, the pigment that colours skin, hair and eyes. It's a lifelong
condition, but it doesn't get worse over time. People with albinism have a reduced amount of melanin,
or no melanin at all. This can affect their colouring and their eyesight. Albinism is caused by faulty
genes that a child inherits from their parents. People with albinism often have white or very light
blonde hair, although some have brown or ginger hair. The exact colour depends on how much
melanin their body produces. Very pale skin that burns easily in the sun and doesn't usually tan is also
typical of albinism. Unfortunately people in Africa believe that albinos are avatar of decedent spirit.
There is also a superstition that albino’s bodies have magic power. That’s why people in Tanzania kill
children with that disease to make elixir and charm, which brings luck. Many children are murdered
and don’t complacency. Once upon a time there was a little albino named Alex. He was born in a small
village in Tanzania. His parents were so astonished when they saw a white baby. However, they fell in
love at first sight. Alex was an energetic and cheefrul child. He always had a smile on his face, but
there was one bad thing. Alex’s peers didn’t accept him and he was often discarded. His parents could
provide education for him, because they were very rich.
