When there was the first day of school, Alex was excited and happy. Unfortunately his feeling quickly
disappeared. His schoolmates were pointing fingers and laughing at Alex. At first he didn’t pay
attention to it. His main goal was learning. He was getting very good marks and he was the best
student in a class. He was also musically gifted. He loved playing the tambourine and singing. After
few months he picked up that people are dishing behind his back. Accidently he heard a convers about
the same achievement. It started to be his real-life goal. Immediately he drew his friends in and they
established a band. Alex was a singer and he played the tambourine at the same time. They called their
band Hope. They started to become very popular in the center. They were playing music everyday
around a bonfire. One day they got a letter from a Polish traveller - Martyna Wojciechowska. She
hosts a TV programme which is called Woman At the End Of the World. She asked them if they
wanted to perform in her new episode. Boys disbelieved. That was their chance of a lifetime.
For the first time they could meet someone from a different continent and they could share their
problem with the world. When the time of Martyna’s arrival has come, boys were wearing their the
best clothes. Their performance was amazing. Martyna was moved by that. After the show she held
honest and fascinating talk with Alex. He really entranced her. Alex seemed to be a very intelligent
boy. Martyna made a decision that she will take Alex to Poland. She saw that he has a huge potential.
Alex was rapt. He couldn’t wait to see it but he was sad that he must say “Goodbye” to his amazing
friends from the center. He promised them that he will take them to Europe one time.
