1. Welcoming the representatives of Korea Foundation
On February 7th, 2018, the University of Languages and International Studies – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (ULIS – VNU) welcomed the representatives of Hanoi Office of Korea Foundation.
I/ PROMINENT ACTIVITIES OF ULIS'S LEADERS
At the meeting, President Do Tuan Minh introduced ULIS, reviewed achievements in the teaching, study and dissemination of Korean language and culture at ULIS over the past few years and attached importance to the role of Korean Foundation in the cause of Korean language development at ULIS in particular and in Vietnam in general. He affirmed that Korean language training had shown significant progress with great achievements at all 3 training levels of ULIS. Notably, ULIS would start recruiting candidates for the first Master program of Korean language in Vietnam and the fast-track program of Korean language at tertiary level. President Do Tuan Minh also extended his thanks for the whole-hearted support of Mr. Park Kyung Chul (Former Director of Hanoi Office) in his term and congratulated Mr. Woo Hyoung-Min (New Director) on his promotion.
Mr. Woo and Mr. Park extended their congratulations to ULIS for excellent attainments in Korean language training so far. Both representatives of Korean Foundation felt happy for having made significant
contributions to the development of Korean language at ULIS and in Vietnam in general, and expected that both sides would strengthen their close relationship in the future.
Also at the meeting, both sides discussed possibilities of cooperative activities in the upcoming time.
