happened and the few believers were persecuted. They
were prevented from drawing water from the common
well. A false case was also registered against a family
and the missionary was prevented from coming into the
village. As we continued praying, God reopened the
doors. 12 people regularly worship the Lord here.
Feed Odisha relief work has been going on in an
interior village for a long time. However only in the
year 2010, one family offered their home for worship.
They trusted the Lord and became the first to openly
declare their faith in the Lord. They faced opposition
and the prayer meetings had to be suspended. But in
2015, it has been resumed. God is glorified as 17 people
participate regularly in the worship there.
Our lady staff used to visit another village and
meet people for several years. In 2007, one family
showed interest in the gospel. Another 5 joined them a
couple of months later. They fasted and prayed with
great burden for their village. Now, a small
congregation and a Sunday school is functioning here.
We used to visit a village in a deep forest for
awareness programmes and relief work. 2 individuals
showed interest in having a service in their homes and
so we started weekly worship. Now, a group of 10
people gather for worship. Elephants and tigers enter
this village now and then. God's protection has been
with the dear ones.
Bojesh, a woman says, “I was married in 2007. I
did not conceive for a long time. I spent a lot of money
on treatment and also on appeasing my gods and
goddesses. Then a person in my village said that if
Christian persons pray for me, I will be blessed. So I
went to my village church. All of them prayed for me.
God opened my womb and the very next year I was
blessed with a beautiful baby. My husband and I have
now received the Lord Jesus as our Saviour.”
There are similar testimonies from people in the
other villages where these congregations meet. God has
healed and transformed lives as simple believers gather
and pray together. There are now 48 congregations and
803 believers in the locality. All these congregations are
nurtured by our staff who are native workers. The staff
have not just been taking care of the physical needs of
the people, but they took care of their spiritual needs as
well. The result is the springing up of worshiping
groups like mushrooms. All Glory to God!
Thank you for faithfully supporting this ministry.
We pray that you may enjoy good health and that all
may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along
.well (3 John 2).
With much love,
AbhimonueBhatra
