May 2018 and in maturity, there wouldn't be any sufferings. But we need to understand that the more we mature, the more will be the sufferings. 2 Co 7:5 - “For even when we came into Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but we were afflicted at every turnfighting without and fear within.” Christian life is not like travelling in a luxury vehicle. It involves suffering and the cross. Jesus suffered. Paul suffered a great deal for the sake of the gospel of Christ. Sadhu Sunder Singh was called as the bleeding Apostle of India. There will be all kinds of sufferings. We need to encourage each other and move on. Let us be transparent about our sufferings. Let us not think that somebody might underestimate us and consider us as carnal. There is a possibility that continuous suffering can make us disheartened and discouraged. That is why Paul requested his own believers to support him in prayer (Col 4:3, 1 Thes 5:25, 2 Thes 3:1). Even Paul was comforted through the visit of Titus (2 Cor 7:6). In this spiritual journey of ours, we need people who would pray for us and cheer us up. Hence, let us be open in our sufferings. Heb 13:18,19 -“Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a clear conscience, desiring to act honourably in all things. I urge you the more earnestly to do this in order that I may be restored to you the sooner.” Let us not submit false accounts to the government. Let us make all our financial transactions in a transparent way. At any point of time, let us be ready to reveal our financial transactions before anybody. If we are faithful we shall have nothing to fear. Let us use God's money like our own money. Let us never misuse God's money. Paul asked Timothy to run away from sexual immorality and worldly wealth. Worldly wealth is always enticing. Let us be content with what we have. Let us not crave for more and loose our position in Christ. When we mobilize money for ministry, let us be careful not to take anything for our personal use. Sometimes we may need to sacrifice. Integrity is always costly. People may not always understand but let us be faithful until death. Our reward is with Him who is going to come very soon. May God help us to lead a life of integrity and transparency. Amen. 7. Transparen t In Handling Finance One of the important characters who failed in financial integrity was Judas Iscariot. He lost his apostleship for his lack of integrity. He was in-charge of the finances of the Jesus' ministerial team. But he used to help himself from the corporate money. Note the following verse: R O F I N T E G John 12: 6 “He said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief, and having charge of the money bag he used to help himself to what was put into it.” *2018* |PAGE 7|
