Beautiful feet! Tanuja & Kishore

Missionary Lifesketch-25
I was born in a small town in Nabrangpur district of Odisha. I was brought up in a family with Lutheran traditions. My parents became believers through the ministry of the Lutheran missionaries from the West. They came on horses to our villages and preached the Gospel. It was during a time when there were no road facilities to our place. Though our parents came to the Lord through the Lutheran missionaries, there was no Church in our place. The believers were like a sheep without a shepherd.
It was in the year 1986, when missionaries from Blessing Youth Mission came to our village and surveyed the entire region. They located our place and established a Mission Station. They started to reach out to all the villages in the locality. We as a family started to get involved with the ministries of Blessing Youth Mission. I had a privilege of attending Blesso ' 87 in Sunabeda, Odisha. The theme of the camp was, ' Like
Jesus.' I accepted the Lord in that meeting and was filled with the Holy Spirit. After returning from the camp, I started to grow in the Lord.
But, during my college days, I started to get involved in politics. Unfortunately, I was framed in a false case and was imprisoned for 9 days in the district jail. This made me to hate politics. On the other hand, I had an inner thirst for something more in life. I started to interact with the missionaries who visited my place. Their vision and life affected me. The miserable condition of Christ-less multitude burdened my heart.
In the year 2006, I joined as a full time missionary with Blessing Youth Mission. Since then, God has taken us to various Mission fields and used us for His glory. My wife, Tanuja is also very much cooperative in the missionary work. During our stay at Ramagiri Mission Station, we were involved in establishing a Day Care Centre for the poor tribal children. There were neither roads nor electricity connection in the place where we were planning to establish the Centre. But God went before us. We stayed in that interior village for two years. During those years we had three bike accidents, but God protected us. Today, many of the children are pursuing their higher studies from that interior place.
Later we shifted to another place in the nearby Taluk. It was a politically sensitive area. During the time we stayed in that place, there were several landmine blasts. However, the thirsty souls found Christ amidst such terror.
Presently we are based at Jeypore, a city in Odisha and are involved in Youth and Revival ministries. Ever since the launch of Bless Bharat Project, we could raise many lay leaders from Southern Odisha. Under ESAP( Every Street A Prayer Cell) programme, we could form several prayer groups.
God has blessed us with two children, Ruth, who is in her 8th grade and Rejoice, who is in his 5th grade. Pray that we would become sharp weapons in the Master ' s hand.
