join as a priest in the Roman Catholic Church , but the leaders hesitated .
After my school , I joined Government College in Tanjore . Students used to gather in the house of Mr . Xavier Jesudason for prayer . I began to attend that prayer which was close to my hostel . I understood the purpose of the Cross and found meaning in life . I understood that it was the change of heart that is required and not the change in religion . I completely surrendered my heart to God .
Completing my college education , I began to be involved in Gospel activities at Budalur . It was here I came in contact with missionary Sundaramoorthy who in turn introduced me to Blessing Youth Mission . Later on with the help of Mr . Sridhar I got a job in a company in Chennai . It was the company owned by the then Chennai City Coordinator , Mr . Sunderasingh .
I come from a small village near Budalur in Tanjore district . Though my parents were not believers , they were very pious in their religious beliefs . They also led an exemplary lifestyle . My father performed various important rituals for the deities in our village . Because of this reason , he enjoyed great respect among the villagers .
Since there was no school in our village , my father put me in a Roman Catholic boarding school . It was here , I started to attend the devotional prayers in the hostel . There I met Johan whose life attracted me very much . He was always seen with a Bible in his hand . Though I used to mock him along with other friends , he was steadfast in his faith .
One day I secretly opened his Bible and started to read . A strange sense of awe and fear descended upon me . Once , while I was reading I came across the verse in Matthew 16:26 . I was drawn to Christ in an unusual way . I wanted to
In the year 2002 when I was praying in the night , God spoke to me through the life of Abraham . He asked me to commit my life as a missionary and go to Head Quarters of BYM . Just the previous month , on seeing an ad in the Blessing Magazine regarding the need for committed people , I prayed earnestly to God to send people to BYM HQ . I was surprised that God asked me to go . So , I resigned my job and joined Blessing Youth Mission Head Office on my 25th birthday . After I served in HQ for two years , I moved to Madhya Pradesh and served in Jabalpur , Shargarh and Badamalera . On January 8th 2007 , I was joined together in marriage with Nithya who was a missionary nurse serving with BYM at Ramagiri Mission field in Odisha .
Presently we are based in Sagar and are involved in Revival and Youth ministries . God helped me to serve Him for the past 14 years . It was His grace that was guiding me all through these years . God blessed our family life as well . We are blessed with two children Dharshini ( 8 Years ) who is in 3rd grade in SanthosaVidhyalaya , Dohnavur and Leo ( 2 and a half years ). In the year 2002 , my father accepted the Lord and entered God ' s glory in the year 2003 . My mother too accepted the Lord in 2014 . Pray for the other members of my family .
