The microproject, in its turn, is implemented within the framework of the umbrella project “Cross-border cooperation for health tourism of Polish-Ukrainian borderland” that is co-financed under Cross-border Cooperation Programme Poland-Belarus-Ukraine 2007–2013. In fact, this guidebook appeared thanks to a piece of good luck when the author happened to meet plastun Mykola Hnativ and Olha Zhyla, Head of Mykolaiv Rayon Council; both of them are real patriots of their land, who are in love with everything related to Mykolaiv. This guidebook has been prepared by a sportsman-tourist; therefore, it is intended for a rather well-trained audience. However, the route has been tested on groups, representing different ages as well as different levels of sport skills: and nobody was lost on the way; moreover, everybody tremendously enjoyed the experience. So, go ahead – take a paddle, get your bicycle ready – and follow us! The description of objects, which happened to be on our way, does not include even half of the sites, upon which one can come across with the frameworks of the proposed route. We tried to present the information, selected by us, as concisely as possible, since our task was to prepare a short guidebook for travel, and that is a much broader assignment than preparing the description of tourist attractions.
