New Chief Executive and Chair for the Thames Valley Acute Provider Collaborative
The Thames Valley Acute Provider Collaborative( APC) has appointed Professor Meghana Pandit as the new Chief Executive and Oke Eleazu as the new Chair.
The senior appointments come as the APC widens its remit with Frimley NHS Foundation Trust recently joining original APC members: the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust( OUH) and Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust.
Professor Pandit is the CEO at OUH and is currently on secondment to NHSE as Deputy Chief Executive Officer( 50 % of her time). Between October 2025 and March 2026, Meghana was National Medical Director, NHSE( full-time secondment). She replaces Steve McManus who stepped down from the APC earlier this year following his departure as CEO at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust after ten years at the helm. Meghana will lead on the strategic direction of the APC, working closely with Trust leaders, clinicians, and system partners to accelerate transformation and strengthen acute services.
Oke joined the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust as Chair in April 2025 and takes over the APC Chair from Jonathan Montgomery, the former Chair at OUH.
He will provide senior oversight to ensure the Collaborative continues to deliver measurable improvements for patients and staff through improved access and outcomes for patients, enhanced digital integration and a resilient and strengthened workforce.
The APC was launched in 2022 as the BOB( Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West) ACP with a remit to
• Identify opportunities to work together to reduce health inequalities and improve equity of access and outcomes for patients
• Reduce costs by doing things once across the Collaborative members where possible, sharing knowledge and intelligence
• Encourage improved recruitment and retention within the system through the exploration, alignment and adoption of innovative staffing models.
A recent example of the Thames Valley APC’ s impact has been the development of a new nurse-led Fracture Liaison Service which has supported an extra 1000 patients living with Osteoporosis to avoid future fractures, saving £ 1.5m and avoiding around 2,000 bed days.
