FRIDGE LOCKER
The Fridge Locker, £19.99,
www.lazyboneuk.com
Now we all like to think of our flat
mates as good friends who would
never even dream of nicking our
last chocolate bar or pinching
some of that left over takeaway, but
unfortunately not everyone can
live up to this standard. Keep your
snacks safe from light-fingered
friends by locking it up in a fridge
locker. A little more like a food cage
than anything else, this container
has a combination lock to stop
horrible housemates from helping
themselves.
THE
FOODIE’S
PURCHASE
INSTANT NOODLES
40p from many local corner shops and Tesco
Quick and easy super noodles are nothing new but, whilst
at uni, can transform from a midday snack to main meal
several times a week. Instead of forking out for brand names
well know in the UK make the most of South Wales’s great
Japanese food shops and pick up a packet for as little as 40p.
These handy little packs can be eaten on their own, but simply
add a boiled egg and some vegetables for a healthy and hearty
noodle soup. Mmmm...noodle soup.
DRY SHAMPOO
Batiste Dry Shampoo, £2.99, Superdrug
This handy toiletry essential is usually recommended
for festivals or far-flung travels where hot showers
are few and far between but, as this can also be the
case when you’re sharing one bathroom with six other
people, it’s a good one to have for emergencies. This
handy can of shampoo can save you if you woke up
late and have to skip the pre-lecture shower, or if you
unexpectedly stayed the night in someone else’s room
and want to get out of there sharpish (but without
looking too much of a state).
