CARDIFF COUNTRY FAIR
Living in the hustle and bustle of the city it’s sometimes easy to forget the vast wealth of countryside that surrounds us. Never fear, however, as Cardiff Country Fair has come to break up the hectic lives of us city folk and deliver a genuine slice of rural Wales right to our doors. Taking place within the walls of Cardiff Castle you can expect an abundance of activities celebrating all things farm. Events that are a must include the fair’s very own baking competition and the Produce and Handicraft contest. The entries will be judged under the watchful eyes of Margaret Spencer, who is Head of Produce and Handicraft at the Royal Welsh Show. Already delicious enough, all before even mentioning the master classes in butchery, cheese making and bee keeping. If that doesn’t seal the deal then there are live pigs, rabbits and chicks for you to awww over in the cwtch corner. Tickets from a measly £7. Worth it. Cardiff Castle, Sat 28 Sept-Sun 29 Sept.
