Wales Roller Derby is going to Dallas. Prior to
heading off for the Blood And Thunder World Cup in
December, the female flat-track fliers will be hosting
an ‘international battle’ at the Newport Centre,
taking on Ireland, Scotland and The West Indies.
With world-renowned teams such as the Tiger Bay
Brawlers, Team Wales look set for a bright future.
Curious about Korfball? The Netball-Basketball
hybrid, which consists of four men and four women
in a team, is an up and coming sport in Wales. After
finishing fourth in the Welsh Regional League last
year, Cardiff University are out for revenge against
the side who pipped them to second place last
season.

ROWING: CARDIFF AUTUMN
HEAD
First off we have the Cardiff Autumn Head, an annual
rowing race which takes place between the Millennium
Bridge and Cardiff Bay. Over 200 competitors will
compete in the two races – at 11am and 2.30pm – and
rowers from clubs in Wales, the west of England and
the West Midlands will fight it out over the 3.5km
course – the junior race is 2.5km.
