Comfortably nestled between the magnificent Cambrian mountains and the glorious coast of Cardigan Bay , burgeoning folk and world music festival Fire In The Mountain will take place for a third time this summer . The festival boasts a 1000-person capacity and an ever-growing , ever-diversifying lineup of artists from across the globe who will bring with them rustic beats , soulful rhythms and a copious amount of toe-tapping jigs . Highlights will no doubt include Sunday headliners The Turbans who promise to provide a taste of the Middle East with a “ Hackney twist ”. London band Kidnap Alice effortlessly combine bluegrass and soul , and listen out for Liverpool-based skiffle experts Sidney Bailey ’ s No Good Punchin ’ Clowns among much more . Guests can expect all of this fantastic music alongside a lot more non-musical activity thrown in for good measure . This includes endless food and drink , arts and crafts , dance workshops and even a healing area . Weekend tickets are priced at £ 80 , or those on a budget could look at volunteering to help run the event and use their spare time to join in the fun .

Literature Wales Launch Literary Adventures
Literature Wales promise to take you beyond the written word this summer with the launch of their immersive programme of exciting literary tours . Whether by foot , horseback , canoe or bicycle , Literature Wales invite you to explore the wild west , the legends of Arthurian and Medieval Wales , Submarine Swansea , Neolithic Anglesey and the ghosts of Ceredigion . Experience the places and themes which have inspired some of Wales ’ most creative writers such as RS Thomas , Dylan Thomas and Dafydd Ap Gwilym , alongside current favourites such as Rachel Trezise , Dannie Abse , Niall Griffiths and Joe Dunthorne .
Kicking off in May and running throughout the summer months until October , enjoy an exciting array of literary adventures . On Sat 18 May enjoy Literary Ogmore . Cross the Ogmore river on horseback with writers Tom Anderson and Kate North , and listen to the iconic Dannie Abse talk about his love for this part of the Glamorgan coastline . Green Man have announced Norwegian duo Kings Of Convenience as the Friday night headliners on the Mountain stage in the latest of a long list of brilliant artists set to perform at this year ’ s festival . Perfectly suited to Green Man ’ s beautiful setting and captivating atmosphere , Kings Of Convenience promise a set of lilting harmonies , calming vocals and intricate melodies . Well known for their brand of acoustic indie folk , Kings Of Convenience haven ’ t released an album since 2009 , but their popularity still rides high and alongside fellow headliners Ben Howard and Band Of Horses , they are sure to draw large crowds to the opening night . As well as the festival lineup which is already fit to bursting , there ’ s still a huge amount to be announced among Green Man ’ s various new spaces , and with the likes of Phosphorescent , Steve Mason , BEAK >, Peggy Sue and Public Service Broadcasting announced , there ’ s a huge amount to get excited about .
