THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN
Cabaret sensationalists The Lady Boys Of Bangkok are returning
to Cardiff once again. Enjoy being seated by a stage graced by the
most beautifully effeminate lady boys as they perform a variety of
flirtatious and cheeky acts. Entertainment includes the performance
of chart hits (“tributes to Kylie, Katie, Tina, Amy and even Robbie“
are promised) and production numbers from Grease to Moulin
Rouge.
You can expect a sizzling performance of vocals and dance while
the performers glitter and glisten beneath the stage lights. If you’ve
never experienced this particular revue, open your mind with these
provocative shows. Funny and sensuous, yet not crude, it’s going
to be a hilarious and unique experience. I dare you to try it out. VY

HAND OVER THE REINS
SPORT
STAGE
If it’s a sophisticated, sporty summer’s day out you’re after, then
giddy on down to Fonmon Castle to watch the sport of kings
(that’s polo to those of us who don’t have a personal relationship
with the monarchy).
Castell Polo proudly presents this year’s Celtic Cup in partnership
with award-winning cocktail bar, Lab 22. With an exclusively
created polo village, this traditionally British sport will witness the
Wales Polo Team battle it out against Ireland to win the trophy in a
day of professional polo matches.
You can sit back, enjoy one of Lab22’s renowned cocktails and
watch men hitting balls around a pitch whilst astride their noble
steeds.
With a heatwave on the horizon, the long hazy days of June
promise this summer will be somewhat of a scorcher. So get on
your horse and check out this quintessential cracker. RH
Fonmon Castle, Vale Of Glamorgan, Sun 8 June. Tickets:
£25/£20 child/£50 family of four. Info: 07814 737373 /
