TRWY’ R DDINAS HON Sherman Cymru, Cardiff, Tues 25-Sat 29 June. Tickets: £ 7- £ 14. Info: 029 2064 6900 www. shermancymru. co. uk In conjunction with Welsh playwrights Marged Parry, Sharon Morgan and Dyfed Edwards, Sherman Cymru is staging a trio of Welsh language short plays inspired by power, belonging and independence in an altered Wales. All set within Cardiff, director Mared Swain notes that the event titled Trwy’ r Ddinas Hon“ offer [ s ] a different view on our capital city”. With each piece of theatre taking a different approach to the theme, and with settings in the past, present and future, Trwy’ r Ddinas Hon looks to be an innovative and poignant night of Welsh theatre. The same actors are used in each play, so it will be interesting to see how the different plays juxtapose, as well as correlate.
