With 250 competitors and 38 nations expected to splash their way around Cardiff International White Water ’ s testing course , this year ’ s Canoe Slalom World Cup from Fri 21-Sun 23 June will be packed with great sporting drama and entertainment . It ’ s now the second World Cup event awarded by the International Canoe Federation ( ICF ) to CIWW , and the weekend competition will give the crowds another great chance to watch Olympic water sport medallists up close as they compete for the first spot in the competition and the rankings , and soak up the energy and atmosphere of the occasion . The World Cup is a prominent occasion for canoe slalom professionals and enthusiasts alike , and with live big screen footage , a live DJ and the Trade Village selling their brands – not to mention the tickets on sale at only £ 5.50 – it ’ d make a fantastic family day out .
