Info: 029 2065 0016 / www. bayart. org. uk This month Jerwood Visual Arts presents exclusive work from emerging artists Anthony Faroux, Susan Sluglett and Sophie Starling, as part of the 2013 Jerwood Painting Fellowships. Faroux, Sluglett and Starling were selected from over 300 other budding artists, and whilst they may be miles apart in their creative instincts and artistic choices, they are united in the outstanding quality and potential of their work. Faroux’ s eccentric stylistic choices are inspired by the definition of the human imagination; Sluglett exhibits five large canvases, on which she portrays the conflicting emotions inspired by a royal wedding, focusing on of the subject matter. Starling explores the countless possibilities of abstract painting in three dimensions, her unique pieces bound together with stretches of material. |
