As a marketing manager you need to have a great plan, but this plan needs to be flexible. Business and situations change for the better and you will need to adjust your marketing plans accordingly.

A marketing manager's role is to not create the visual effects but to fuel them with their artistic eye. Having a good sense of imagination goes a long way and will add to the success of your and your associates working around you.
4.) Understands Their Market and Their Consumer:
Good marketing managers must understand their consumers in order to market more efficiently. When marketing managers misunderstand their consumers they have a gap between the message sent and received. This can cause loss of consumers and no gain in market share.
5.) Understands the Fundamentals of Branding, Marketing, and Advertising:
A good marketing manager knows the roles of branding, marketing and advertising. The roles they play are intertwined and have a strong connection; you must understand these roles and how to appropriately use them.
6.) A Big Picture Manager, Not a Micromanager:
Marketing managers need to keep their eyes on the big picture and not micro manage their team. When you micro manage you keep down creativity and this will not help your new concept become successful.
