Mi Casa Es Su Casa, a women-driven mixer
established to celebrate the success of local
women in our community, was originally a pro-
gram of the Corpus Christi Hispanic Chamber
of Commerce. The event is now a program of
the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Com-
merce Foundation. The Foundation is a 501(c)
(3) supporting organization of the United Cor-
pus Christi Chamber of Commerce.
Proceeds from Mi Casa Es Su Casa benefit the
Mano a Mano Scholarship Program. This schol-
arship was initiated to encourage students to
continue their education in the Coastal Bend
and promote the growth of a locally educated
workforce.
After the quickly approaching March 22 event
honoring Margie Rose, the next Mi Casa Es Su
Casa quarterly series will take place from June
2018 to March 2019.
Future honorees include Dr. Kelly Quintanilla,
President of TAMUCC, June 13, 2018; Paulette
Kluge, CEO of the CC CVB, October 24, 2018;
Catrina Wilson, President & CEO of the United
Way of the Coastal Bend, January 2019; and Mi-
chelle Unda, Public Affairs Representative for
NuStar Energy, March 2019.
