A woman who has the ability to be as comfortable and proud of who she is as a person, flaws and all, which is one of the many assets that she is proud of, Tamara always acknowledges and remembers from whence she came, where she is, what she wants and where she wants to go, which is another shaping tool that she believes is worth more than gold. She has made use of learning from every mistake through the history she creates, which has in turn molded, shaped and equipped her with the strength and lessons to further live by.

As she strives, she uses every opportunity to educate every individual she encounters, as she believes it is her responsibility to be her brothers’ keeper, even if it means exposing her ugliest moments, because Tamara believes once this saves someone else's future, it’s another asset she’s grateful for. Tamara knows that having a joy for sharing, as a way of showing she cares, proves her generous in the eyes of God Who in turn continues to bless her whilst enlarging her territory, which then starts the cycle again.

Tamara is a believer who can say that all her many great assets are attributed to the fact that she is able to acknowledge that she was created in the image and likeness of God, as well as know and believe that greater is He Who is within her than he who is of this world.

On a less personal note, Tamara is concerned about the thought pattern of her people, the people of St. Maarten. If there was one thing she could change, it would be that very same issue, the thought pattern of her people. As it pertains to their sense of entitlement, the way they elect individuals to be the decision makers of our country, their sensitivity towards our country's economy and the importance of education, training and development. Tamara knows that thoughts become things and believes that if we can be, think and act with a more positive attitude we can and will move mountains!

With a history in pageantry, Tamara has been fortunate to walk away with many lessons, one of the main things being that to truly appreciate the joy of winning, one must experience losing. Further, pageantry has taught her responsibility: “If you are not serious or strong enough to know that you have to represent that crown for a year you ought to leave it alone!” says Tamara. Pageantry also contributed to her being able to address a crowd, big or small, while continuing to grow.
