Bumps, Babes, and Beyond Winter 2017/18 | Page 7

What is your favourite sport?

Skiing. I love it! But… the word “elegance” doesn’t spring to mind, when I come down the slope. More like “Geronimo”!

If you were a biscuit what sort of biscuit would you be?

A naughty one, full of calories

What film did you most recently see & did you like it?

Err... I think it was Moana and yes it was great! I really recommend it.

What is your favourite music?

All music, but currently my guilty pleasure is listening to Kisstory as it reminds me of my younger days at University!

What food do you like to cook?

Quick food! I prefer to eat it than make it. I tend to spend longer on the kids food nowadays, as I’m weaning my son who is 6 months old, so he can’t eat what we have yet. Saying that, I recently really got into the BBC good food website. I pick at least one new recipe a fortnight from there and try it out.

What natural wonder of the world would you most like to see?

Oh wow, tough one. I’m addicted to travelling. Probably diving the Great Barrier Reef, even though I’d be a bit scared of the sharks!!

What did you want to be when you grew up?

A vet

Do you grow anything?

Technically yes. I love our garden, but I have to say I have a green-fingered mother who helps to make it look as good as it does. So it’s not really down to me! The orchids indoors are all mine though!

What is your favourite day of the week?

I’m currently on maternity leave so I love every day.

What is your favourite season? And why?

Summer, for long days in the garden having a BBQ, whilst my daughter plays in the paddling pool.

What was your favourite toy as a child?

Barbies for sure. An addiction apparently inherited by my daughter. We offered carefully balanced choices over toys, but she’s naturally gravitated toward pink and sparkly every time. Don’t even get me started on Disney princesses. She’s obsessed with Sleeping Beauty and she’s never even seen it! How does that happen?!

Finally, can you tell us an interesting fact?

Endophins (your body’s natural painkillers released during labour) are stronger than morphine.
