Two Second Collections This Weekend , February 18-19 , 2017 Due to an oversight by the Archdiocese there are two collections scheduled for this weekend , February 18-19 , 2017 . One is for the Clarion Herald ($ 20.00 annual contribution ) and the other is for the Pastoral Solidarity Fund for Africa . If you wish to contribute to one or both , please make your check payable to St . Philip Neri Church and place either envelope in the 2 nd Collection .

REQUEST FOR LITURGICAL MINISTERIES
We are in need of Liturgical Ministers , particularly Ministers of Hospitality , Eucharistic Ministers , Lectors and Choir Members . Eucharistic Ministers and Lectors are required to attend an Archdiocesan Workshop . Ministers of Hospitality will be given an orientation before they assume their ministry . Prospective Choir Members ’ names will be passed along to our Director of Music . You are asked to give prayerful consideration to committing to just one of these ministries . Interested persons may call the Parish Office ( 887-5535 ) or fill out the yellow sheet at the back of church and hand it to one of our priests or deacons .
SPY NOTIFICATION
This Sunday , February 19th after the 6 p . m . Mass , we will have our SPY Mardi Gras Party . Arrive in your favorite Carnival clothing . There will be food and drinks , and we will roll the first Krewe of SPY , parading through Metairie Healthcare bringing Carnival joy to the residents there . Make sure to bring some beads to throw .
