Network Rail Initial Signaller Training Programme Set to Launch

CIRO Awarding Organisation is pleased to announce the forthcoming launch of a new CIRO-endorsed learning programme , developed in partnership with Network Rail , The Initial Signaller Training ( IST ) programme , developed over two years , builds on the success of CIRO ’ s first endorsed programme launched in 2023 .
Initially run by Network Rail , the IST programme has now been elevated to a fully endorsed Diploma through close collaboration with CIRO .
This enhanced programme is designed to standardise training for new signallers , providing them with the essential skills and knowledge needed to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the rail network .
The first cohort of learners has successfully completed their training at Network Rail ’ s Training centre in York . Following this success , there are plans to expand the programme across other Network Rail training centres throughout the UK , enabling more learners to benefit from this highquality training .
