ICM 355 Game Engine
Prerequisite : ICM 225
Students will address the implementation of game projects into the archives and templates of current , game platforms . The influence of existing game platform limitations on user experience will be explored . Design criteria for platform environments will also be addressed .
ICM 356 Pre Composition Techniques
Prerequisite : ICM 225
Students will address the design and production of the physical / visual look , mood and tone of a filmed sequence from the perspective of the pre-production photography . 3D platforms will be used to render solutions to both the theoretical and typical approaches to narrative sequence in live action and 3D animation . Presentation techniques of concept development will be covered .
ICM 357 Advanced Editing
Prerequisite : ICM 314
This course will address time-sequence editing styles for dramatic effect , genre and story . Various formats for distribution will be addressed .
ICM 364 Illustration
This course will give students the opportunity to develop an array of illustration techniques and rendering processes . Studio illustration work will be integrated with digital manipulation into current formats and applications .
ICM 412 Special Topics in Media Lab
Prerequisite : ICM 217 , ICM 218
This course is a collaborative project and requires the group participation to facilitate their completion as a distributed work of media . The group projects are developed for print and broadcast . Projects function to develop content as a direct response to community and social concerns both locally and internationally .
ICM 433 Cinematography
Prerequisite : ICM 314
This course will give students the opportunity to develop both studio and outdoor solutions to the conditions of the script . Composition , lighting techniques in relation to story are covered in projects . Contemporary genres as an influence on shooting styles will be addressed .
ICM 444 e-Commerce Design
This course will give students the opportunity to develop design and navigation solutions for commerceoriented web space . Contemporary practices and templates will be covered
ICM 451 Independent Study
Opportunity for students to pursue advanced study in a predefined area with a particular instructor .
