After opening new offices in the US , in Miami and Los
Angeles , as well as in Asia ( Osaka , Japan ) Leschaco is expanding its presence in Europe . Leschaco France SARL is now located in Paris , followed shortly by Leschaco Iberia SL , based in Valencia , Spain . “ France and Spain are among the European logistics growth markets and offer a lot of future potential ,” explained Jörg Conrad , owner and CEO of the Leschaco group . “ Against this background , the strengthening of our own local presence is a consistent step in our global expansion strategy . Furthermore , we are better able to meet the needs of our customers with own subsidiaries in France and Spain .” Previously , Leschaco , as a member of the strategic alliance EURTEAM , was represented by agents in France and Spain . And in growing Asian markets the forwarder is investing in its branch network . In 2017 , Leschaco became main shareholder in the joint venture Global Saga Leschaco Pvt Ltd . Since January 2018 , the company has been operating under the new name Leschaco India Pvt Ltd . With these new locations Leschaco is now operating from 71 own
offices in 22 countries . At all locations all services in the core business segments sea and air freight , tank container and contract logistics are offered . Many value added service as well as multimodal transport round off the product portfolio . The company also plans to open an office in Chicago , USA , and in due course , one in Salvador de Bahia , Brazil .

Suttons Group has boosted its capacity to carry a wider range of liquids and fluids after purchasing 800 new baffle tank containers . The £ 10 million investment brings the total fleet to 7,000 , with baffle tanks outnumbering non-baffle tanks , in response to increased demand to move a wider range of products . The company has already taken delivery of 500 with the remaining 300 entering the supply chain over the next six months . Andrew Baird , technical services director , said : “ Our success in winning new business and ongoing commitment to our existing customers means we are continually updating our fleet . These new tanks which are being added to the deepsea fleet and deployed around the world , give us greater flexibility and the ability to carry a broader range of products . Suttons ’ UK operations comprise a fleet of more than 500 vehicles focused on the chemicals , gas and fuel sectors . In February , the logistics firm also resolved a labour dispute with the company ’ s bitumen drivers based at Eastham . Following discussions between Suttons management and the Unite trade union an amicable conclusion was reached .

Dr Philip Nölling has taken over the position of chief financial officer ( CFO ) of Hoyer Group , replacing Gerd Peters who has been with the company for more than nine years . CEO Ortwin Nast together with Dr Nölling form the executive board of the Hamburg-based logistics company . Dr Nölling has worked for around 20 years in senior management functions for companies operating nationally and internationally , during which he focused on key strategic operational areas . The positions he held included director of group finances for the Otto Group , and as CFO he was responsible for developing the Hermes Logistik Gruppe , before taking over that position at DPD in Aschaffenburg in 2015 . Gerd Peters will take over full entrepreneurial responsibility for another corporate association of the Hoyer family .
