The Horo is a traditional Bulgarian folklore dance.
There is a plethora of horo varieties around the
country depending on the regional specificity. The most
popular type of “horo” dance is called “Pravo horo” and
is performed by group of people holding each other to
form a circle. Not only is The Horo played at wedding
ceremonies and local festivals and but it has turned
into a symbolic event to mark diverse formal
celebrations including that of the New Year.
