truth as to what is going on in
everyday life. What would you say to him if
you had the chance?
When he got sentenced for the
ten years, I got so upset. I even
wrote two letters to him when he
was in prison, don’t know if he
ever got them. I was one of his
fans who signed the petition to
Obama. I hope one day to meet
him and talk to him for even ten
minutes or less, one to one. He is
like a brother to me from another
mother, and he will always be
close to my heart for the rest of
my life and I will always love him
forever and ever more. Buju you’re my brother, even
though you don’t know that and
one day I hope to tell you. I know
I’m a little shy but I won’t pass on
the opportunity to meet you. I
did in the past in Holland. You
walked right in front of me in a
disguise but I was by myself and I
was too shy to stop you to talk to
you. So I’m hoping that this time
I don’t miss that opportunity and
I’ll go right up, hug you, talk to
you and just reason. I hope that
day will come very soon and I’m
hoping to be in St. Kitts to see you
perform and I’m so waiting on
that.
What’s the zaniest thing you’ve
done as a fan?
When I use to live and study in
Curacao I skipped school as one
time he came to St. Maarten for a
Carnival concert. I told my
parents I had to come so they
paid my ticket and I came for the
weekend to see him sing on the
stage in Carnival Village.
I have a daughter now so I am
unable to do what I really really
would like to do and that is I
would have preferred to see you
for your first concert on March 16
in Jamaica. So I’m hoping to get
the opportunity to see you sing
on June 29 in St. Kitts.
