Why I Love Buju By Maza LoveBuju Rombley Since 1995 when his ‘Til Shiloh album came out, I started following him really, really hard. “Love Sponge” was my favourite, favourite song and my email address was lovesponge17. It was like this until last year when someone hacked my email so now I don’t have it anymore. That’s one of the things I did to show my love and support for Buju. His music is very uplifting. When I was depressed and down, his music was always there to give me a joyful feeling, a joyful spirit to lift me up. His music goes real deep in my soul. I get goose bumps and get really emotional. I get teary eyed. I use to sing this song to my Dad when he was sick and sing it out loud wherever I go, “Sweet Hour of Prayer”. For me it was something to heal him. Even though he died it gave me peace and a feeling of safety. It made me feel like the song would make him feel better so I played it a lot. Lots of songs I know from heart, one of them is “Untold Stories”. That is what is going on today still. His words, the meaning to his words and what he says is the
