BSO Encore , Powered by PNC broadcasts are returning to WBJC 91.5 FM ! Beginning March 7 and running through May 2021 , WBJC will air a full BSO performance every Sunday from 1 pm - 3 pm . Continuing our celebration of Music Director Marin Alsop and her historic tenure at the BSO , each performance will also include Alsop and BSO musicians in conversation about their favorite moments over the past 14 years under Alsop ’ s leadership . Performances will include a number of BSO musicians featured as soloists , Alsop ’ s signature pieces , and BSO commissions and world premieres .
A GAME OF CARDS ANYONE ?
In support of the BSO ’ s education programs , the Baltimore Symphony Associates ( BSA ) are pleased to present Symphonic Scenes of Maryland ! A playing card fundraiser featuring four unique decks of playing cards ( one deck representing each section of the orchestra : brass , strings , woodwinds , and percussion ), and every card has a unique photo of a notable location in Maryland .
