The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra a is a non-profit arts organization internationally recognized for achieving a distinguished place among the world ’ s most important orchestras . We are committed to engaging , educating , and serving our audiences and to enhancing the state of Maryland as a cultural center of vitality and performance .
We ’ re very unique in many ways — one way is that we have two homes : the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore and The Music Center at Strathmore in Montgomery County . With the opening of our second home at Strathmore in February 2005 , we became the nation ’ s first orchestra with year-round venues in two metropolitan areas .
Entertaining music listeners of all genres , the orchestra performs a selection of classical and
pops concerts along with the popular orchestra with the movies concerts . Whether you ’ re moved by Mozart , or if Broadway show tunes are more your thing , you ’ ll find something of interest here at the BSO .

For our patrons visiting us at Strathmore , we are pleased to announce the Allegro Kitchen has reopened . Led by Executive Chef LaTasha Stevenson , the mouth-watering dining experience begins 90 minutes before each Concert Hall performance .
