The resulting plan has created a road map for achieving this goal through the creation of new parks and the addition of amenities and visibility to the city’s existing parks. To gather feedback on the plan and build a partnership base, a diverse public outreach strategy was an integral part of the planning process. This analysis identified a centralized belt of high need in the urban neighborhoods at the City’s core. Meeting the open space and recreation needs of this central need belt is a high priority of the master plan.
