James Dixon

Class of 20
What do you want to tell the world about
Mrs. Kindley? She is an amazing teacher
and is always willing to help.
Favorite Memory: All the many failures we
had while cooking in her Culinary Arts class.
Admire Most: Her willingness to help her
students
What do you want to tell the world about this student?
James is a great student and one of the hardest working
students I have. When he sees a job that needs to be
completed he gets the task done. He is very driven and will
succeed at whatever he puts effort towards. James is also
very good at getting to know all types of people and creating
enjoyable conversations. Even though he may not go into a
Culinary field, he has developed many culinary talents and
still makes the best fried chicken breast I have ever tasted!!!
Favorite Memory: This past year we started FCCLA. When
James found out he could compete in a Culinary Arts compe-
tition, he was all in. He gathered a team, practiced hard and
we competed at Regionals. They did not advance to State,
but it was a great experience for us all. I think James really
developed a love of cooking through this process. He got
pointers from co-workers, developed plans all on his own to
make things better, and learned to make an awesome meal
with the help of a friend.
James plans to attend
UT Tyler and major in
finance.

I’ll tell the
“Never stop going for your
dreams. Sometimes they may
just take longer than expected.”
James, I am so proud of you and all you have accomplished this year. I know the end of this year is looking very
different than you imagined it to, however I know this will not set you back. If anything, you are probably working
more than ever and saving as much money as you can for your awesome future. I hate that you have had to miss
out on some of the fun things that would of happened this year, but I know from experience there is so much more
fun to come. I am thankful for you, and the hard work you put into my class each day. The effort and hard work you
put into each 31 East service, and providing the teachers with top notch service. I know you will be successful in
your future, just keep working hard and stay focused on your goals. If anything, you can always make fried
chicken, and gravy. That may be more helpful than you realize. I hope you continue to find things that bring you
joy, and make you want to keep learning. Keep your servants heart, and it will bring you more joy than any job, any
amount of money, or any amount of popularity on tik tok could ever bring. Make Wise Choices! -Mrs. Kindley
