An environment of mutual respect must prevail for parents / guardians, faculty, staff, coaches, and students to effectively work together. The administration endorses the concept of chain of command in resolving disputes. Students and parents / guardians should first communicate with the individual teacher or coach. After a discussion with the teacher or coach, Counselors, Department Chairs, Dean of Student Formation, Vice Principal, or Athletic Director can be consulted. In all cases, a spirit of respect and civility by all parties involved is essential to the resolution of disputes. By enrolling at Brother Rice, both parents / guardians and the student agree that they will comply with the standards for behavior that are essential to a Catholic educational institution.
