Casey Gore – Racing Post
I’ m a trainee journalist, NCTJ trained with the Press Association, where I focused on sports reporting and started building my own digital presence. I also run a TikTok account, Caseytalksracing, where I create fun, informative videos around major racing stories.
I’ m really interested in how racing can be made more accessible to wider and younger audiences, especially through social media. There’ s so much more to the sport beyond its traditional spaces, and I think digital content plays a big part in that.
I’ ve been riding for several years, which is where my love for racing really comes from. I appreciate the horses, their development, and the unpredictability of the sport. I’ m especially drawn to the stories within racing, from the success of horses to the journeys of trainers and the growth of jockeys.
As a Black woman in the sport, I care about showing that racing is inclusive and that there’ s space for different voices within it. I’ m excited to keep learning from experienced professionals in the industry, develop my skills, and build my place within racing media.
Finley Donnelly – Jockey Club Racecourses
Hi, my name is Fin Donnelly. I’ ve just finished my final year at the University of Birmingham, where I was studying Business Management. During this degree, I’ ve studied a variety of modules including entrepreneurship, marketing, management and economics. In my industrial placement year, I was fortunate enough to work in the Film Sales division at Universal Studios, supporting the sales of feature films, documentaries and standup comedy titles to international TV buyers.
Growing up five minutes from Cheltenham Racecourse, I have always been extremely passionate about National Hunt racing. I’ m eager to work in the industry, helping to promote and grow this amazing sport as much as possible. Long term, I’ d love to find a position working in the commercial side of racing, combining my passion for the sport with the business knowledge I have acquired during my degree.
