Adam Holland – BritBet

I am 21 years old and from Manchester . I have just finished my final year at Liverpool John Moores University studying Sport Business Management where I developed many different skills including marketing , event planning and entrepreneurship . I am also a passionate horse racing fan and I have travelled to different parts of the country to attend race days . For my final year dissertation , I was able to integrate my love of horse racing into my degree by focusing on syndicate ownership in horse racing in the UK & Ireland . While completing my dissertation , I became aware of the BHA Development Programme and I realised that I could make a career in the industry I love . My particular interest lies in promoting all aspects of the sport to younger people across different social backgrounds . I am excited to gain a deeper knowledge of the horse racing industry through the BHA Development Programme and put my sales and marketing skills to work while at my placement with BritBet . In summary , I believe that horse racing can attract a widely diverse audience through increased engagement and education providing the public with a deeper insight into the world of a fascinating sport .

I ’ m a 21 year old graduate from Hartpury University where I studied a degree in Equine Performance and Rehabilitation . When I saw the British Horseracing Development Programme advertised , I saw it as such an exciting opportunity , and I am thrilled to have been accepted on to it . Horses has always been a huge passion of mine , and since moving away to university with Cheltenham racecourse on my doorstep I have learnt more about racing . Through my degree I have been able to widen my knowledge of equine welfare and I hope to integrate this with my interest in horse racing . I am excited to start learning more and becoming more hands on in the world of racing . And aim to make changes regarding the future development of racing , with a priority of equine welfare and wellbeing . 18
