Billy: There are many Year 5s and other students who are willing to try out for Prefect and Captain, are there any tips you can give them?

Karli: For any students willing to try, I say they shouldn’t stress and worry too much, don’t be doubtful but prepare in case things don’t exactly go to plan, like I said before.

Billy: Last year on the presentation day when you found out you were Captain you must have been going crazy in your mind. Explain your thoughts when your name was announced.

Karli: When my name was called out on presentation day, I was going out of my mind. I literally pinched myself checking if I was dreaming. Other than being surprised, I was also excited that I was about to begin my journey as School Captain. I was hoping to achieve big things in 2014 and many ideas were flowing to my mind. It was one of the best days of my life, if not the best day of my life.

Billy: You have been at the school for 7 years now. What impact has the school made on you?

Karli: I think Brighton has definitely made a big impact on my life as the school has matured me and taught me how to cope with many moments in life. All the staff are very caring and supportive and help your everyday situations. I am very proud to be known as Brighton student because the school has such an amazing reputation.

Billy: In an overall statement, what are do you think are the schools strong points and do you have any dislikes?

Karli: Brighton is a great school. During class, the teachers are always there for you, the staff is always teaching new things to help students progress. Mr Power, Mrs Willams and Mrs Mckinnery are always working hard and making sure the school runs smoothly. As a whole school everyone works well together and we achieve great things. I can’t think of any faults.

Billy: What have been some of your most amazing moments at Brighton?

Karli: During my school life at Brighton I have had countless of proud fantastic moments since Kindergarten till now. Out of all my proudest moments was the moment I was announced as Captain. That would have to be the icing on the cake and my wins and other events in dancing wouldn’t be far behind.

Billy: In the future what do you see as your path to your dream career?

Karli: I will be honest with you, I really am not sure. I can see dancing as a maybe but so many ideas jump into my head that I really can’t decide.

Billy: Are there any final words you would like to mention?

Karli: I’d just like to say thanks to you, Billy, this has been great fun and I hope being a Captain, you are having as much fun as I am. I’ve got to run. I have flags to do, bells to ring, mail to be delivered…
