USER EXPERIENCE
Figures 98-106.
DIAGRAM.
This user experience diagram represents how a young adult
with autism named Olivia may visit the site. There are various
reasons why people may come, so Olivia’s journey is unique
due to her specific needs.
‘Olivia will be greeted by the staff receptionist
who will explain how the centre works.’
‘She then may make her way to the cafe, to
either start a shift, shadow another colleague
or simply grab herself a beverage.’
‘With many seats to choose from downstairs
and up, Olivia decides she wants to explore the
upper floors to enjoy a coffee in a quieter area.’
‘She makes her way to a quiet zone, which was
explained to her at the reception. Olivia enjoys
being in a safe space that has been designed
for her needs.’
‘Olivia decides she wants to make her way to the
private areas for a wellbeing yoga session. She
goes up to the back stairs to the wellbeing room.’
‘After an hours yoga and wellbeing session,
Olivia has had time amongst other young
adults with ASD socialising and relieving
stress.’
‘Olivia has the opportunity to have a wonder
around the open space, socialising with others
in the community.’
‘She then makes her way towards one of the many
exits, feeling relaxed. Olivia has socialised with
friends, relieved stress and had a space to feel safe.’
‘Olivia leaves the church and returns home.’
