READ TO RISE BOOKS
AND HOME GROWN
AUTHORS
The Bridge Foundation's Read to Rise
books uniquely integrate literature that
bridges the global village of the world and
offer children ages 3-12 a peak into the
world of literature. The selection of fiction
or non-fiction books is based on the age of
the children and includes local
international authors to ensure that
children experience a diverse selection of
literature.
R2R introduces its literature rich
environment in three themes:
• READ TO RISE BOCAS (Local to Global
Fiction)
is themed specifically to introduce, local,
Caribbean and global literature and authors of
diverse genres.
• READ TO RISE GREENSPACE (Sky to Earth) is
geared towards the cultivation and promotion of
environmental awareness through the introduction
of environmentally-focused books and
environmental based activities.
• READ TO RISE WONDERS (Fiction to Science to
Sports) is focused to transpose students through
their vast imaginations to reality by creating an
excitable balance of the impossible to the possible
while fundamentally introducing the building
blocks of Science and Mathematics. Also, sports
themed books are introduced to support their
dreams and ambitions.
Read to Rise books builds
on what children already
experience or what they
have heard from loved
ones and friends while
opening their world to
books from around the
world.
“In the Read to Rise
Programme, we keep
