Barbara Bridgewater, an education
consultant who works in the Read to Rise
classroom through writing projects and
interactive games, states that “all children
need positive reinforcement and, often
times, stories and information in books
need to be broken down for children to
synthesize and understand.” She
reinforces that learning must be engaging
and fun all at the same.
Connecting Dots: Attitudes to
Outcomes Project in Mon Repos :
Under
the leadership of Barbara Bridgewater, Bridge Foundation is working in Mon Repos, Trinidad with
ICON funding from Citizen Security Programme to engage young people living in the Mon Repos
community to develop positive attitudes towards their environment and community. Young
people engage in role play, self-confidence building interactive activities and games and
collaboratively identified potential community improvement community projects. Next year, with
additional ICON funding their projects will become a reality.
