Bridge promotes Creative
Expressions through Once Upon a
Caribbean Folktales Narrated by
Sonja Dumas & Albert Laveau
Stories in Once Upon a
Caribbean Time were viewed as
a perfect complement to
Jumpstart selected books
which would inspire children
to embrace their Caribbean
roots through the collection of
Caribbean folktales. Schools through-out
Trinidad received the CD and a written
compilation of the CD stories.
Folktale stories creatively introduce
traditional characters and cool twists on new
characters. The CD folktales take you east of
somewhere, south of elsewhere to a place
where a little spider named Anansi, a blue Crab
named Dan and a caterpillar named Indra
could frolic in the sea and sun of a child's
imagination.
