Choosing the ‘right’
Wedding Planner

f you haven’t been lucky enough to receive a fantastic recommendation it can be a rather daunting task to select the right wedding planner. Searching the Internet, wading through a stack of bridal magazines… and just how do you choose? There seem to be so many options out there. Fortunately there are a couple of key indicators that you’re on the right track. To keep it simple, the most important questions you can ask yourself are Does he or she make you feel comfortable? Does he or she make you feel confident? First off you must be entirely comfortable with your choice and with your Planner. Have a meeting with a potential coordinator before making your booking, or at least have a good long chat on the phone. No wedding planner should deny you this. Do you feel some sort of rapport? Are they genuine, and genuinely interested in giving you good service? Are they actually listening to what you want, or are they pushing you into their ideas of what your wedding should be? Remember you’re going to be working very closely with this person for many months. You must be comfortable! And then do they make you feel confident in their ability to do their job...
