Choosing an indoor or outdoor venue can be a little risky in Spring as there could be rain that may parade on your wedding. If you insist on an outdoor wedding, make sure your faith is strong, or find a location where it never rains, like Alexander Bay in the Northern Cape which has the least amount of rain in South Africa. Everyone knows that there is no gain where nothing is ventured. I am sure that after hibernating all winter like hamsters that an opportunity to venture out into the sunshine is most welcome to all. An indoor wedding reception is predominantly the norm. The safe bet for the feint-hearted. Just because you are not in the sunshine does not mean that you cannot create the feeling of Spring through your décor, colouring and lighting. Why not bring Spring indoors. A Spring melange of fruits could be a great table piece – that your guests can eat. Sweet smelling blooms of lily, lavender and jasmine give an aura of Spring.
