Did you study photography? A:Yes, I studied photography at the University of Stellenbosch. It is a 4-year course and I received my degree in photography in December 1989. When did your passion in photography first begin and what do you enjoy most about it? A:My passion for photography started when I got my first camera at the age of 14. What I enjoy most about it is the fact that I can portray life the way that I see it and experience it. How long have you been a wedding photographer? A:I have been a wedding photographer for the last 22 years, since 1991. How many weddings do you photograph per year? A:45, on average What sets you apart from other photographers? A: The way in which I connect with my clients. I capture my clients’ souls, not just their faces. Are you planning on doing something different in this years wedding season? A: Yes, most certainly. I do something different every year. What are the latest photographic trends and have you implemented any of them? A:Trends can be dangerous because it can go out of fashion much quicker than it came into fashion, so to speak. I do adapt to changing times but I don’t necessarily implement the latest trends.I have my own “look” and my own “style” and I implement this in such a way so as to ensure that my images are “timeless”. What do you offer in your bridal packages? A: I offer an unique kind of creativity. My packages include my time as well as all the edited high resolution images on disc. Storybook albums, enlargements & canvas prints are optional and can be ordered at any stage after the wedding, or the clients can produce these directly from their high resolution images on their discs themselves.
